Preparation

First off, I feel awful for forgetting to mention that Cathy Stroup is sick with very high fever
and not feeling well at all, so she was unable to come with us! Please pray for her health!

Today we went to the church and had worship,
and even though most of it was in Spanish and few of us
understood more than bits and pieces,
the one thing that brought us together was God's Word.
It didn't matter the language, we could learn together in that
with no barriers!
The other amazing thing was one of the first songs we sang,
Open the Eyes of my Heart. We sang both in Spanish and English,
all joined together worshiping our awesome God!
It was just beautiful, the whole service really,
just worshipping together, no matter if we only caught bits and pieces,
that wasn't and isn't the point.
We were all singing praises to our God, and at least for me it was a great time
to 'Be still and know I am God', just listening to everyone singing together.

In the afternoon some stayed back for construction, and others, myself included,
went to go door-to-door to hand out invitations for our VBS.
It was great to just soak in the culture walking around,
to get to see some kid's faces that will hopefully become familiar.

I'm very excited for what's to come! :)

Celaya Team.
